Safari has the flexibility to work with any third party confirm and trade processing vendors and market utilities.
EDD maintains much more information in Safari on the OTC contracts than most hedge fund managers and middle office providers do in the portfolio management system. This means that not only can we use this as our source in sending data to confirmation/affirmation systems, but we can also perform more in-depth reconciliations on the contracts, either with the counterparts directly, or via intermediary reconciliation platforms.
Presently, for our clients, we are connecting electronically to MarketServ and DTCC, and continually adding more connectivity to services such as Omgeo, eConfirm, ICE Link and other platforms where we feel that we will be able to offer enhanced services for our clients.
Using electronic signatures, the paper process is eliminated completely for all OTC derivatives products and transaction types. Client's access comprehensive reporting, allowing them to identify key risk areas or bottlenecks in the process with reports focused on age, counterparties, and products. The service also integrates with existing e-matching services to provide a single source for contract management.
This service offers our clients the ability to:
- Reduce disputes and outstanding contracts.
- Streamline post-trading operations.
- Reduce open position risk.
- Increase counterparty transparency.
